It's been five years since my old friend Michael Sladék of Plug Ugly Films (Con Artist) and I last collaborated on a project- a music video for The Willowz: We Live on Your Street. That's too long! But we can now rejoice as just this week we began the post-production process on a new documentary about one of my favorite places in the world: BAM or Brooklyn Academy of Music

Here is what our friends at Plug Ugly Films press department have to say about the project:

"Plug Ugly Films is proud to announce we've been commissioned to make a feature length documentary by and about the nation's oldest (and coolest) performaing arts center, BAM (aka The Brooklyn Academy of Music).

Featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the 2011/2012 season, interviews with artists whose works have revolutionized avant garde/experimental live performance the world over, as well as the fascinating history of this legendary Brooklyn stalwart, we're excited to be currently in production. Helmed by Director Michael Sladek and made in partnership with Room 5 Films, the as yet untitled project marks BAM's 150th anniversary."

Stay tuned for more details as this is going to be a good one!
